MEET SENSEI HORNE

Master Jason B. Horne is the founder of the MA-KIBO-KARATE-DO® system of XS Martial Arts Dojo, established in 2002. He is a retired veteran of 21 years of service in the United States Air Force through the Louisiana National Guard.

Having dedicated 28 years to the study of martial arts, Master Horne holds the rank of 7th degree black belt in various styles and is a Martial Arts Hall of Fame inductee.
As a community advocate, he has impacted the lives of thousands of students in the Greater New Orleans area, focusing on a mission of constructive youth development — and believes that instilling positive principles in our young people leads to better outcomes and respectable individuals. Master Horne is also the founder and executive director of Save One Now, a nonprofit 501(C)3 organization reinforcing XS MAD’s anti-crime efforts in schools and communities throughout metropolitan New Orleans.

Through personal and corporate coaching programs, Master Horne empowers people to achieve balanced success, including working with employers in fostering supportive environments for valued employees. He has guided professionals, entrepreneurs and small business owners to unlock both professional achievement and fulfilling personal lives.

Master Horne is a graduate of the first cohort of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses initiative, which coaches underserved communities in operating and growing their businesses. He now serves as an ambassador for the prestigious program while overseeing the operations of XS MAD alongside his wife Monica. They have two wonderful sons, Mason and Justin — also black belts, of course!
